It all comes down to these skills - AI in the world of work
Objective
In addition to a non-technical basic understanding of AI, the workshop will give you a feel for the skills that are particularly relevant for the successful introduction and use of AI in your own company. In many interactive program points, you will individually work out which skills need to be considered in your own company and to what extent recruitment and further training measures should be taken in order to adequately prepare for the changes in the world of work brought about by AI. The aim of the workshop is not to draw up a complete list of AI skills, but rather to develop an awareness of the many different and interdisciplinary skills required.
In addition to interactive elements, we will also provide you with insights into our scientific findings throughout the workshop. It should be noted that we always focus on how technology can be successfully adapted to people in the sense of a human-centered technology introduction. Our aim is therefore to convey this guiding principle during the workshop and to incorporate it as a key component of the workshop results.
Content of the workshop
In this workshop, you will develop the relevant skills and knowledge to successfully introduce and use AI in your company. At the beginning of the workshop, a common basic understanding of AI is created as part of a joint discussion. In the course of this, you will also learn about the special features and challenges that the use of AI poses for companies compared to other technologies.
You will then select a use case for the application of AI, which will serve as an illustrative example for the rest of the workshop. This use case is either developed through a joint brainstorming session on potential use cases in your company or alternatively introduced by the workshop leader. This is followed by the joint development of relevant skills for the successful introduction and use of AI for the selected use case. In addition to some technical AI skills, the workshop also focuses in particular on non-technical skills that enable successful AI project management, successful leadership and moderation and successful use of AI, among other things. To this end, you will be presented with a collection of 35 skills and knowledge to develop the competencies relevant to you. Finally, the results of the workshop are categorized in the KARL AI competence benchmark. The benchmark tool is based on a survey of 215 company representatives on the importance and current availability of relevant skills in the AI context. These insights into the KARL research give a good impression of which skills are important for other companies and where skills are lacking on the labor market.
