Horvat and Heimberger receive Best Paper Award

9. December 2022
The relevance of KARL became clear last year through its presence at economic and scientific conferences. The Competence Center for Artificial Intelligence is thus establishing itself as a sought-after player in the field of work and learning.

From the network for the network. In line with this motto, KARL is involved in the various offerings for the competence centers of work research. Whether in working groups and exchange rounds or at networking meetings and public symposia, KARL is an asset to the network. At the symposium of the CoCo accompanying project in May, KARL presented to over 220 participants how a user-oriented introduction can succeed. Magnus Kandler demonstrated this with a selection system for AI use cases.

Keynote and Best Paper Award

The Start-up BW Summit is the central start-up event in THE LÄND. Dr. Jens Beyer gave the keynote speech on the future of our working world for KARL and shared his views and experiences from KARL in a panel discussion. Dr. Djerdj Horvat and Heidi Heimberger proved that the content from KARL also attracts international attention. They won the Best Paper Award at this year's International Conference on Production Research Americas with the AI Readiness Check.

Other events at which KARL presented the vision of AI for humans included the eSDSCom conference in Berlin, organized by the BDI, and the Compliance Days in Dresden.
